Consulting Services for Senior Student Affairs Leaders

01

Divisional Review

A structured organizational assessment using the W.O.R.R.T.H.Y. model. Engagements can cover the entire division, a specific functional area, or a single department — depending on where you need the most clarity.

Reviews include document review, interviews with divisional staff across multiple levels, and a written report with evidence-based findings and recommendations. The final deliverable gives SSAOs language to support changes they may already know need to happen — and gives staff an independent basis to accept them.

02

New SSAO Coaching

Designed for vice presidents and chancellors in their first 24 months. The early period is where leaders most commonly stumble — moving too fast before understanding culture, or misreading the difference between institutional leadership and student affairs leadership.

Coaching engagements are structured around your specific institution, your division, and your goals. Not generic executive coaching.

Aspiring Vice President/Chancellor Preparation

If you’re an associate or assistant vice president/chancellor who’s ready to make the move to a senior role — or actively applying and want sharper materials — this is where to start.

Work includes application materials review, positioning strategy, working with search firms, and interview preparation. Kevin has been on both sides of these searches and knows what selection committees actually look for.

Strategic Plan Development

Divisional strategic plans that are actually usable — aligned with institutional priorities, grounded in data, and built with enough specificity that staff understand what they’re supposed to do differently.

Bailey’s OD background means the plan is designed to be implemented, not shelved. It includes accountability structures because a plan without them isn’t a plan.
